Terms of Service

Effective September 2, 2026

These Terms govern your use of CandidAge (the "App"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the App.

What CandidAge is

CandidAge estimates a biological age from your Heart Rate Variability (HRV) and VO₂max data, read from Apple HealthKit, along with a confidence score reflecting how much data supports that estimate. All processing happens on your device — see our Privacy Policy for details.

CandidAge is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. It's an informational wellness estimate based on physiological signals. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical decisions, and don't use CandidAge as a substitute for professional medical judgment.

Eligibility

You must be able to form a binding contract to use CandidAge, and you're responsible for complying with any age or consent requirements that apply where you live.

Your license to use the App

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use CandidAge on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.

Subscriptions (CandidAge Premium)

CandidAge Premium is offered as:

Monthly — an auto-renewing subscription, billed monthly until cancelled.
Lifetime — a one-time purchase that unlocks Premium permanently, with no recurring charge.

All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store, and are subject to Apple's own terms and payment methods. Specifically:

Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
Monthly subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the price you agreed to.
You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your Apple ID account settings; the App does not have the ability to cancel it for you.
Refunds are handled entirely by Apple under its own policies — CandidAge cannot issue refunds directly.

Your health data and responsibility

CandidAge's estimates depend on the quality and consistency of the HealthKit data available on your device (e.g. from your Apple Watch). We make no guarantee about the accuracy of any score, and you use the App's estimates at your own discretion and risk.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except where applicable law permits it.
Use the App in any way that violates applicable law.
Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the App's operation or security.

Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or reliability.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CandidAge and its developer are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including any decisions made based on its estimates.

Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it. We may suspend or discontinue the App or any of its features at our discretion, though we'll try to give reasonable notice for anything that affects active Premium subscribers.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, note it in the app's release notes. Continuing to use the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
